Pass Stout

7% ABV | OG:17°P | IBUs 70

At GoodLife Brewing, we add Northwest twists to all our creations and feel this beer is a perfect example. Why you ask? Well, it is an American Stout, a category that is the outcome of US based brewers’ vision for a stout, resulting in a smooth bodied ale with subtle hints of roasted malt and chocolate combined with a slight coffee and cocoa character. Yes, there are more twists, but we forgot to write them down.

The label of this beer is a work of art that has a few twists of its own. Created with the help of a lady loaded with artistic ability and soul, it tells a story. Did the wearer of the boots hike the pass in the backdrop? Did they pitch a tent with purpose? Did they celebrate a day in the outdoors with our stout? Are they passed out – or asleep? We hope the answers are unequivocally yes.

Life is short - live it with purpose, share your stories and always sleep well so you can make it over that Pass and have a Stout.

  • Malt: NW Pale, Briess Midnight Wheat, Briess Bonlander Munich, Crystal 120, Thomas Fawcett Chocolate, Briess Rolled Oats, Franco-Belges Kiln Coffee

Redside India
Red Ale

6% ABV | OG: 14.5°P | IBUs 50

A unique subspecies of rainbow trout can only be found in Central Oregon's Deschutes River. Adult Redsides are heavily built and brightly marked with a deep red, almost copper band, along their sides. Hard fighting and acrobatic, they are one of the most sought after trophy fish in the world. Hooking an eighteen inch Redside and watching its tail dancing in the fading Oregon afternoon sun delivers a satisfaction that is absolutely priceless.

Like the prized trophy fish, our Redside India Red Ale is one of a kind. Flavorful, aromatic and balanced: it is truly enjoyable all the way through.

  • Aroma: Strong floral hops, vibrant fruits and toasted grain.
  • Flavor: Bright hops blended with a red malt base to create flavors of guava nectar and a fresh floral hop bite.
  • Malt: NW Pale, Briess Bonlander Munich, Briess extra special, Crystal 80 melanodin
  • Hops: Crystal, meridian, cascade, nugget
Available in: 1/6 BBL and 1/2 BBL Kegs

Comatose

GoodLife Comatose new label

Imperial IPA

9.5% ABV | OG:19.5°P | IBUs 95

Mother Nature's seasons are amazing, where all her creations flux between an existence in winter's comatose state, spring's colorful fling, summer's hot dance, and fall's laid back swing. The creative juices of musicians jump from an unconscious, winter mindset spuring you to think concerts, road trips and campsites. One sip of this beer will get your blood flowing as you jam to your favorite tunes!

Disclaimer: We don't recommend hanging upside down in a tree, you're not Eddie... It seems fitting to chill in a hammock while listening to great music and sipping a triple-dry hopped, Imperial IPA -- Music for the taste buds!

29er Brown Ale

6% ABV | OG:14.7°P | IBUs 45

Big'er, Bad'er and Bold'er, the 29'er is the bike (and beer) to go huge on. With 29" wheels instead of the usual 26", this monster bike eats the trail up in chunks. We thought it a suitable name for this slightly more aggressive Brown Ale. 29'er is a classic brown with a hoppy roasted nose to balance a nutty, strong malt body that finishes with smooth chocolate and coffee undertones. Goes well with the adrenaline rush of bombing down a backcountry trail. Enjoy the ride, friends. Bombs Away!

  • Malt: NW Pale, Briess Bonlander Munich, Thomas Fawcett Brown, Crystal 120, Thomas Fawcett Pale Chocolate, Franco-Belges Kiln Coffee
  • Hops: Warrior, Pacifica, Glacier, Columbus, Perle

Scottish Heart

8% ABV | OG:18°P | IBU 35

St. Andrews Day, November 30th, is the national day of Scotland. St. Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland, and Scots celebrate this day around the world. The flag of Scotland is the Cross of St. Andrew, and this is widely displayed as a symbol of national identity, thus the crest accompanying the story behind this beer.

This caramelized, malt forward Scotch Ale is brewed in honor of St. Andrew and is a brave, collaborative effort of two brewers, Tonya Cornett of Bend Brewing Company & Curt Plants of GoodLife Brewing Company. This beer is fantastic – Slainte Mhath! (Cheers or Good Health in Scottish Gaelic, pronounced “Slanchay Va”!)

Aye, cheers to all the Scots…it is you who inspire us to make this beer. Your passion, honor of tradition and heart is amazing! We thank you for inviting us to be a part of your celebration.

  • Malt: Golden Promise, Midnight Wheat, Pale Chocolate, Crystal 60, Carafoam.
  • Hops: Perle, Northern Brewer
